So here goes another story...
A mother bird and her 3 baby birds used to live in a farm. One day they heard the farmer talking to his son. The farmer was telling his son that the crops were ready for harvesting. He said that he has told his youngest brother to come and harvest the crops.
Hearing this the baby birds got very scared and asked their mother to leave the farm and go somewhere else... but the mother bird stayed.
Days passed and no one came... then again one day the baby birds heard the farmer and his son. The farmer said that this time he has asked his elder brother to come and harvest the crops. Hearing this, the baby birds again got scared... they told this to the mother bird... but again she stayed...
Another week passed... and no one came... when again one day... the baby birds heard the farmer and his son... This time, the farmer said that since none of his brothers turned up, he will do it himself the next day.
On hearing this from baby birds, the mother bird said: "It is time for us to leave..."
... and the next day, the farmer actually came for the harvest.
Lesson ? ha !

ReplyDeleteyeah.. to rephrase... its -'If you can do something yourself, then better do it yourself rather than depending on someone else to get it done for you.'
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those childhood stories which teachers would read in class and ask, 'Children, what did we learn from this story ?' or maybe your grandma would tell you. hehehe...
This was actually in 2nd standard CBSE hindi book called "Apna Kaam Swayam Karo". And the lesson reads "If you want something done, you should do it yourself".
